After decades of NFL broadcasting, 73 year old commentator, John Madden suddenly retired April 16. To most fans and fellow commentators, he is called “the absolute best sports broadcaster who ever lived." Madden remarked that his health was not a factor for retiring, but that it was his five grandchildren now realizing that he is gone that made him want to. Former NFL player Cris Collinsworth will now replace Madden on NBC’s Sunday Night Football and ABC’s Monday Night Football.
