Week by week the economy gets worse and a lot of people are now unemployed since the 1960s. Numerous of people are jobless with more layoffs to come. Everything is dropping homes, jobs, and manufactured goods. Homes are at their lowest rate since the 1960s. Manufactured goods has been at its worst since 2001, the goods has dramatically dropped. According to the Labor Department, 4.78 million Americans claimed unemployment insurance for the week ending Jan. 17. This is an increase of 159,000 the week before, which was higher than their expectations.
More jobs are being cut such at companies such as Ford Motor Co., Eastman Kodak Co., Starbucks Corp., Target Co., Home Depot Inc.; this is more than a thousand jobs being cut. President Barack Obama's economic package has been approved by the house which is on the way to the senates which would provide $500 million to upgrade the unemployment system.
