Sports agent Drew Rosenhaus has been contacting several NFL teams through e-mails to let them know that one of his three clients, NY Giants wide receiver Plaxico Burress, wants to be traded. The other two NFL players who demand to be traded are Arizona Cardinals WR Anquan Bolden &
Cincinnati Bengals WR
Chad Johnson.
The Giants GM Jerry Reese refused to comment on Burress’ request for a trade, neither did Arizona’s GM comment on Bolden’s. The Giants, who signed Burress a five year $35 million dollar contract, is giving Burress an opportunity to return. Burress, who is suspended, faces felony charges for the nightclub shooting last season in which he shot himself in the leg.
The importance of this article is that three highly favored NFL wide receivers demand to be traded from their contracted NFL franchises, mainly New York WR Plaxico Burress. A follow up of this article could be where Burress will be traded or if he even gets traded at all. Questions that could be asked from this story could be why these players want to be traded, and what teams would want these players.
