Sure it made the news, but is it newsworthy? Is it biased? Controversial? Inflammatory? How will it impact the community? What may people do as a result of the article? What voices or angles are missing? We answer these questions and more in our weekly current events blog.
An organization in Philadelphia is proposing a new recipe website for people who want to start the New Year saving money on food in these tough economic times. The name of the organization is the Philabundance. They want to give working families recipes for healthy food for under just $10. Their website is www.philabundance.org where you can find their food categories such as salads, soups, entrees, sides deserts and new interesting recipes. They state that not only is the food good, but it’s cheap and stays in the family budget.
I feel that this article was written averagely. It has facts and quotes but after reading it, it doesn’t seem very appealing. The writer should have made it more interesting from the start. The only thing that grabbed my attention was the third and last paragraph because those bring out the main goal of the Philabundance organization.
