Sam Adams, mayor of Portland Oregon, one of the largest cities with an openly gay mayor, has admitted to lying about his affair with a teenaged boy. Adams claims that the boy was 18 years old (Oregon's legal age of consent) at the time of the affair. Attorney General John Kroger said in a statement Wednesday that he would look into the recently revealed "matters pertaining to Portland Mayor Sam Adams." Adams took office this month. Kroger is investigating the case.
This was a fairly short article. The topic was very interesting. So I would have preferred if there was more background information on the “who”. It would have benefited the reporter if he got some quotes from the mayor or even the people of the town. There were plenty of missing pieces. The author could have went a lot further with this story.
