On Barack Obama's first day at the White House, also known as the “Presidential Mansion” he said “what an opportunity we have to change this country” he issued new ethics rule for the administration on his first day. He held a reception for his 200 guests to visit who were chosen in an internet lottery. First Lady Michelle and Barack settled in their new house after dancing at the Balls that they have attended past midnight. Former president George Bush left Obama a good luck note behind for him to see in the morning.
This article would affect viewers and listeners because people would want to know how their new president is doing so far and how was his first day at work at the White House. The people want to know if he made any early plans and made any early decisions, also how the family is doing and their feelings about the position and house that have now. This event is a History in the Making for the U.S and people are happy for this change that has came after all of the previous years that have past.
